How to Start It

★ Recommended for beginners

Sow direct about 0.5 cm deep from early spring, then again in late summer for autumn. For baby leaf, sow thickly and don't thin; for full plants, thin to 15 cm.

A mild, feathery Japanese mustard green for salads and stir-fries. Quick and cold-tough, it crops in about 40 days and regrows after cutting — perfect for repeat sowings spring and autumn.
